AMA: Tweet Meet

The AMA is having a nationwide Tweet meet with 'actual' network meetings happening across the country alongside a Twitter presence online for Tweeters to join the meetings remotely.

what will I gain?

AMA network meetings are a chance to get together with other arts and cultural professionals in your local area to exchange ideas and share news, views and experiences.

who is it for?

AMA network meetings are open to members and non-members alike so bring along an arts-professional friend or two.

This session of network meetings are Twitter-themed but you don’t need to be an experienced Tweeter to attend. They are open to everyone regardless of your Twitter experience.

the edinburgh event

In this tweet meet some of Edinburgh’s top tweeters share their tips, tales and experiences – from etiquette to engagement.

Our special guests are two leading lights from the literary twitter world:

  • Peggy Hughes, from Scottish Poetry Library soon to be joining Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature ( Twitter name byleaveswelive and hughespeg), and Colin Fraser, a social media producer for literary organisations ( anonpoetry, scottishbktrust, edbookfest)
  • We’re also joined by the National Museums Scotland digital double act of Elaine Macintyre and Bruce Blacklaw ( NtlMuseumsScot).

The event will be chaired by Marcus Wilson Follow Digital Consultant ( PookaPro and marcusjwilson) so bring along your questions, thoughts and issues for a general discussion with the speakers and fellow AMA members.
